2 More Weeks Left for Quarter 3!
Happy Friday! The end is near... for quarter 3. We are almost there. Gators, this is the final push of the quarter and we know you can finish strong. Please be monitoring your grades in StudentVue/ParentVue and make sure you have no IE's (Insufficient Evidence) in the gradebook. IE's can result in not earning credit for the course. Make a plan now for completing the work to ensure a passing grade. If you have questions about your grade or need support, please contact your teacher.
We are very excited to move to a hybrid model and see our scholars in-person. Below is some important information about safety and also how you can help us determine how many scholars will be returning for in-person learning:
Parent Survey for In-Person Learning Now Live
Recently, you received a survey to indicate if you would like to keep your child 100% remote or want in-person academic instruction for your child. Please remember that this survey is due by March 24th at 11:55 p.m. If you have multiple students, please complete one survey for each child. For the latest information about in-person for grades 6-12, please refer to www.fwps.org.
Timely Updates from Superintendent Dr. Campbell
Please be sure to reference Dr. Campbell’s Friday e-Newsletter for the most up-to-date information related to our planning for in-person learning.
Safety is a Top Priority
As we prepare to return for in person options, we want to emphasize we have a detailed and specific plan to support a safe and healthy learning environment for all students that return to in-person learning:
- All staff and scholars are required to wear masks at ALL times at our school campus and on the bus. If a scholar doesn't comply with wearing a mask, the school principal will call the parent/guardian to come and pick up the child.
- Social distancing will be enforced in all areas and there will be regular handwashing throughout the day.
- Visitors will not be allowed on campus in order to minimize the number of people on campus.
You can find more details around our safety protocols in our Hybrid Model Family Guide at: https://www.fwps.org/hybridmodelfamilyguide or the Hybrid Model Staff Guide at: https://www.fwps.org/hybridmodelstaffguide
Have a wonderful weekend and remember the words of a former Gator, Dom Cooks-
"It is, and always is, a great day to be a Gator! Yitadee!!!"
Spring SLCs Are Coming Up
Please remember that SLCs are required for the scholar and are designed for the scholar to present to their home adult. Parents/Guardians/Home adults are strongly encouraged to attend with their scholar. There will be a range of available appointment times to meet the needs of scholars and families. If you have questions about SLCs, please reach out to your scholars SEL/CCR teacher.

Upcoming OSPI Covid-19 Survey
Our school is participating in the COVID-19 Student Survey in spring 2021. The survey will be given to students in grades 6 to 12 throughout the state. The survey includes questions related to physical and mental health, thoughts and feeling pertaining to school during the pandemic; adult and peer support; attitudes towards and use of alcohol, marijuana, and other drugs and COVID-19 precautions. Survey results are used by teachers, school leaders, parents, community partners and policy leaders to help understand how to meet the needs of the youth in the state.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and the students’ answers are anonymous. Please read the Parent and Student Notification FAQ document for more information about the survey.
The survey will take place during SEL/CCR early next week.
