Featured Speakers
Andre Daughty
Andre Daughty's educational journey truly began after hearing Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu state, "If you observe children, they will teach you how to teach them." That phrase shifted Andre's philosophy of education. By observing the students in his own classroom, at the elementary and secondary level, he differentiated curriculum and projects based on his students' interests. He enjoys inspiring tomorrow's administrators through workshops, speaking engagements, seminars and embedded coaching experiences. He has been fortunate to speak and present in workshops nationwide to students, educators and organizations.
Clara Alaniz
Clara Alaniz began her career as an elementary school teacher in Denton ISD and has been a district-level Digital Learning Specialist for 16 years in Plano ISD.
Clara will address the following topics in her presentation: How important are relationships? Do relationships matter in goal setting? How do ISTE Standards for Educators and Students align to reach goals? And what does cilantro have to do with any of this? Finding inspiration in all kinds of places, Clara discovered that the cilantro in her parents’ backyard garden provided the perfect metaphor about relationships and how we empower our learners.
