Three Cheers for Glenburnie!!

Please know how much we appreciate everything that families are doing at home. It has been so heartwarming to see such great turn outs for our Google Meets and families and children embracing on-line learning. We know that it is not the same, and we are all hoping to be back in-person soon, but keep up the amazing work. You've got this!

If you ever run into problems throughout the day, don't hesitate to call Ms. Paquin at school for help.

Congratulations Dawn Diamond & Welcome Emily Stephen

We learned this week that Dawn Diamond has been promoted to Principal of Central P.S., Sydenham P.S., & Marysville P.S. This transition will take place on January 29th. We want to thank and recognize Dawn for being such a big part of the school community. The kindness, creativity and enthousiasm for learning that she has shared with us over the years will always be remembered. We wish her all the best in her new role. They are lucky to have her!

Although we are sad to say goodbye to Dawn, we are happy to welcome Emily Stephen into the role of Vice Principal of Joyceville P.S./Glenburnie P.S. Emily is moving from V.P of Bayridge P.S. and brings a wealth of experience and enthousiasm. We are excited to welcome her as part of the team.

Welcome Sherri Holand

Sherri Holland (Head Caretaker Perth Road PS) has accepted the position position Head Caretaker Glenburnie and will start her new position on Monday, January 18th. Congratulations Sherri and welcome to Glenburnie!

Our next whole school assembly will be this Friday January 22nd

A big thank you to our Grade 8 leaders who have been working hard on the "Grizzly Growl" for our next whole school assembly on Friday. I hope that lots of students are able to come. A link to the assembly will be posted in each classroom stream. We will be using a Microsoft Teams link which will allow us to present more easily to a large group. You may be prompted to download 'Teams' when you join, so please allow a little time for that. We are looking forward to having everybody together again!

Please support our on-going gift card fundraiser that you are able to participate in on your own time, all year round.

Check out and see all of the great gift cards that are offered. There are over 170 retailers from popular department stores to gas stations to restaurants and each month new promotions are offered. This fundraiser is great way to help our school raise money. Over the last year, with a very small number of families ordering we have raised over $500!

The only cost to you is the shipping. The gift cards can be shipped directly to you by lettermail for $1.04. This option is for up to 4 cards or up to a $500 value. The cards will be 2 to 7 business days in transit. They can also be sent Xpresspost (with no limits) at an increased cost.

Our school code is H4GP2Q.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact Jen Flake

Pick Up Nevada Tickets and Drop off Batteries at the same place

Did you know that you can purchase Nevada tickets to support GPS? They can be purchased at the Centex Gas Station - Glenburnie Convenience (2408 Perth Road). Alkaline batteries can also be dropped off there for recycling. A big thank you to Centex for helping us! Prizes are awarded to schools that participate and the battery program supports Sick Kids Hospital.
