Universal Design for Learning!
Goals and objectives for curriculum are now based on the Common Core standards. Well-designed standards articulate with the community values and encourage the Art of teaching. Educators reflect on the purposes of curriculum which encompass units and lessons to create clear goals that are flexible to the range of learners and learning environments.
Universal Design for Learning focuses on formative assessments. The goal of formative assessments tell instructors how to improve methods and materials to meet the objective. Pointing again to the importance of a deep, reflective, and flexible goals.
Reflecting on new content. Identifying barriers to self learning. Creating meaning. Sharing new learning, meaning and viewpoints with peers.
Instructional methods and materials are flexible and varied to allow for the needs of individual learners. All learners do not take the same path to success.
Print, can be used in a variety of ways to allow for access to content.
Digital resources can engage learners and promote learning socially.
Personal experiences are encouraged for the learner to create meaning.
