Students Win Essay Contest!

Congratulations to two of our 4th graders, Dishita Roy and Diane Lee, for their 2022 Delta Community Credit Union Essay Contest awards! They had to write an essay describing what they world wish for in their wildest dreams. Delta Community Credit Union presented them with their awards on Monday.

Congratulations to our Math Kangaroo Competition State and National Winners!

In March we had 45 students compete in the Math Kangaroo USA Competition. We had several state and national winners!


Congratulations to the following students:

1st Grade-Claire Zhang 10th in state and 23rd in nation.

2nd Grade-Reha Patell 8th in state and 12th in nation.

4th Grade-Rayaan Junaidi-5th in state and 8th in nation, Michael Ma 9th in state and 12th in nation, and Kathy Ma 15th in state and 19th in nation.

5th Grade-Ashley Zhang 4th in state and 12th in nation, Emily Tan 8th in state and 19th in nation, and Albert Liu 10th in state and 22nd in nation.

To All Volunteers

All Findley Oaks volunteers must register with Fulton County District via the Volunteer Registration Portal. ALL current volunteers’ registration will expire on May 31, 2022.

Follow this link to initiate the registration process any time AFTER May 31 -> Fulton County Volunteer Registration. Your new volunteer status will be in effect until May 31, 2024.

Please allow up to 24 hours for your registration to be verified. Once school is back in session you may bring your photo ID into the front office to be scanned.

IMPORTANT: From The Clinic

If your child has medication in the clinic (either prescription or non-prescription), it MUST be picked up by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022. Any medication left in the clinic after that date will be disposed of. Please contact Debbi Bleakley at 470-254-9363 with any questions or concerns.

Summer Construction

Findley Oaks will be closed all summer due to construction. Beginning Tuesday, May 31, summer staff will be working at Medlock Bridge ES. There will not be any change to the contact number during the summer. You will still be able to reach the summer staff at 470-254-3800 and of course via email. Note that May 31 is a moving day for the summer staff and contacting us via email that day will be best.

Virtual Creative Days in June and July

In June and July, the FCS Instructional Technology Department will be hosting four virtual creativity days for students. During these sessions, students will engage in creative thinking as they design graphics, videos, and web pages using Adobe Creative Cloud Express. Each day will consist of three sessions centered around a daily theme. Students may choose to participate in any or all the sessions on a given day. Separate sessions will be held for elementary students and secondary students in middle school and high school. Students will participate in these sessions through Microsoft Teams.
