Message From the Executive Director

It's a new year (thank goodness) filled with hope and excitement! My personal thanks to all the staff at Parent Child Development Corporation. Each department has done an exceptional job during these uncertain times. The vaccinations have arrived, giving us hope that we may soon transition back to our normal way of life. We are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
The past twelve months have been especially difficult and challenging for our staff and the families we serve. We take our precautions, assess risk and reward, and move forward. We strive every day to create a culture of safety. A safe environment for all staff and families we serve allows them to feel secure, confident, and able to reach for the stars!
Everything we do is because of the support we have from you. By whatever manner you have done so, you found us, trusted us, and continue to support our mission.
We are looking forward to full in-person classroom learning this program school year, Fall 2021. Our programs will continue to grow in response to the needs of our community, staff, and families.
We continue to embrace the excitement of another year as we have done so for 50 years. You are all a dedicated and talented team. I hope this newsletter inspires you the way your support has inspired and transformed the lives of others. Onward to another successful year of making a life long impact in the lives of the families we serve!
With Heartfelt Gratitude,
Ms. Mack

Meet The Partners
Parent Child Development Corporation is so fortunate to be able to provide services for families across seven different cities! One of the reasons we are able to do this is the wonderful Early Head Start services provided by our partners! We want to take a minute this month to introduce you to them and highlight the work they do each day!
We are thankful for the service of all of our amazing partners! Thank you all for allowing us the opportunity to serve even more EHS children and families across the area. You are all appreciated and play a valuable role here at Parent Child Development Corporation!
Aunt Gedell's Day Care Gedell Gresham, better known to all as Aunt G, has been with PCDC for many years. She provides loving care to the children in her home here in West Point. Her heart is for the children, which is evident anytime you see them around her! Aunt G is so kind and while she loves the work she does with the children; she does enjoy getting to talk with grown-ups from time to time as well. | Sheena's Busy Bees Sheena Drummond also serves the West Point area from her home. She takes pride in the work she does with the children and ensures each of them are ready when the time comes for them to transition into Head start and kindergarten. Sheena provides a rich classroom environment for her kids that includes an amazing garden in her back yard! The children work together with Sheena to grow an assortment of fruits and vegetables each season! | Tiny Little Children In Charles City we are fortunate to be partnered with Tiny Little Children. This center is owned by Gail Delaney and hosts one EHS class taught by Christine Bradby. Both of these wonderful ladies have a heart for the children we serve and ensure that the EHS families in their area have a place to go. We love seeing their smiling faces every time we get to visit! |
