Souper - Bowl!
On Friday, February 1st, we are asking BHS students to show their “Souper” bowl spirit by bringing in canned soup to benefit our local food pantry & help our community families in need!
Soup & Twin Toasted Cheese Sandwiches with salad, fruit, milk and a brownie will be one of the many lunch options available to purchase that day.
We have a district goal of collecting 3000 cans…please help us make a difference!
*Staff and students are also encouraged to wear their favorite team attire*

Chromebook 1:1 Rollout
BHS has begun its 1:1 Chromebook Initiative this year - Beginning with Grade 8 Students
In order for child to receive a Chromebook, parents and students must attend a Chromebook meeting.
Our next meeting date is February 7th at 7:00 pm.
Please contact Debra Conroy, Asst. Director of Instructional Technology, at dconroy@bpsdk12.org if you cannot attend this meeting.

Congratulations to the 25% of families who have already registered for spring sports and saved $50 on their spring registration as part of the early registration program AND another $50 if their child is a three-sport athlete.
Discount window closes Sunday, Feb. 10th. Payment MUST BE RECEIVED TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR REDUCED FEES.

Learning beyond BHS
BELLINGHAM HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS LEARN ABOUT ADVANCED MANUFACTURING CAREERS AT QUINSIGAMOND COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Why pursue a career in advanced manufacturing? What skills and education are needed for careers in this field? Educators from Bellingham High School recently participated in a day long program jointly sponsored by BVEF and Quinsigamond Community College in which information was shared about the importance of manufacturing in today’s economy, the variety of job types and industries, typical wages, as well as credentials and training opportunities. Representatives from MassHire Central Region and MassMEP discussed internship opportunities and a new database resource for high school students. Participants were treated to a tour and lab demonstrations followed by lunch where valuable networking and continued discussion occurred.
