Plympton Family Update
November 17, 2023
From the Plympton Admin Team
Hello Plympton Families,
We are very excited about the fall play and Multicultural Potluck tonight! We hope to see many penguins here!
Our Social-Emotional Learning focus this month is "Be Proactive". This is the language we are using at school:
Proactive people take initiative to act in a positive manner.
Proactive people do not make excuses or blame others for their mistakes.
Proactive people pause, think, and choose proactive responses.
Proactive people focus on what they can control.
Next week Mrs. Carlin's 4th graders will start the GREAT program with Officer Dani. It is a 6 week program and Officer Dani will send home the lesson plan and more information with the kids. Mrs. Abcunas' and Mrs. Hache's classes will take part in the program in the spring.
Picture Retakes will happen on December 1. Retake day is for new students and staff members, transfer students, or for anyone who may have missed the initial picture day, OR for anyone who was unhappy with their original picture and would like to give it another try.
Absent Students
- If you are having your picture taken for the first time because you were absent on Picture Day, have your photo taken on Retake Day and you will receive your photo proof after the event! This sheet will also have information on how to order!
- If you received your picture package and are unsatisfied, just return your package and proof sheet to the photographers on Retake Day and have your photo retaken. We will replenish your package at no cost! **Remember to bring in your original picture proof!

Students are very excited the Winter PAL program! More information is included below.
Have a great weekend!

When your student's after school dismissal arrangements change, please send a note to your child's homeroom teacher. If you prefer to email, please also include our fabulous secretary, Mrs, Conneely, at meghanconneely@walthampublicschools.org. Mrs. Conneely and Officer Dani double check every bus list every day and cross check with the attendance for the Champion after school program to be certain kids are getting to correct location after school. Please make every effort to communicate any changes as early as possible. Calls after 2:30 slow down our dismissal process.
All student must ride the bus they are assigned. Students may not switch buses.
