Principal's Message
Dolvin Families –
If you have received an email from me in the past few weeks, you may have noticed the School Satisfaction Survey link included in my signature. It’s a brief survey with an opportunity for commentary. I will try and include it with each Diary sent out as well. I greatly appreciate the feedback so far. One request – if you are experiencing an issue with a specific staff member, based on a specific action, please provide the name of the individual so the issue can be discussed and addressed with them. Thank you for taking the time to provide both positive feedback and areas for growth.
Your proud principal,
Karen

Carpool Safety
At Dolvin, we have roughly 600 families and on average, nearly 300 cars come through carpool each morning. We try our best to keep carpool moving smoothly and safely but we have noticed some safety concerns lately. Remember, when a student rides the bus, they will not be counted tardy, even if the bus is late.
Please help keep everyone safe by following these rules:
- Parents cannot get of their car to assist their child, if your child needs assistance you must park in the top parking lot and walk them to the door.
- Parents cannot park in the lower parking lot and walk or send their child across the carpool line. You must park in the top parking lot and follow the sidewalk down.
- Parents cannot pass cars in the carpool line.
- Children should not get out of the car before the drop off begins sign. We do not have enough staff members to monitor children running down from the hill and it is not safe.
- Please do not block the entrance to the top parking lot when you are waiting to get onto Jones Bridge.
- We encourage families to arrive at the carpool line by 7:20 or before.

2023-2024 School Year
Registration is now open for the 2023-2024 school year for grades K - 12 for students that will be new to Fulton County. We do not have dates for the PreK lottery at this time. Please see the home page of Dolvin.org for up-to-date information and instructions.
Fulton County Spelling Bee
The Fulton County 62nd Annual Spelling Bee took place on January 21, 2023, at North Springs High School. School winners in grades 4-8 from Fulton County Elementary and Middle Schools competed to represent Fulton County at the Region Four Bee. We were so honored to have 4th Grader Nicole Xu represent Dolvin at the County Bee. She represented us well, especially as one of the youngest competitors in the Bee.
