Drop Off and Pickup Information
Woodbury is a walking district and we encourage parents to allow your child to walk to school. If you will be dropping them off, then you should only do so by driving down Wood Street, turning up the road by the tennis courts and pulling into the curved drop off zone in the rear of the building. Please be patient as there likely will be a line.
Pickup – Should be made in the same area. School ends at 2:33 pm.
First Day of School Information
6th Grade students will line up in front of the Cap Paine Gymnasium. 7th and 8th grade students will line up near the breezeway. High School students will line up near the lobby doors.
On September 5 and September 6, we will be operating on a “Monday” class schedule. Class rotations will not start until the following week (September 9).
Summer Reading
Changes to WoodburyONE
Two noteworthy changes to WoodburyONE will occur this year. During lunch, all students in grades 6-12 will be required to eat in the cafeteria. In the past, some students would eat in classrooms. This practice contributed to students connecting with their peers less; we aim to increase connectivity and improve student culture so grade levels will eat together. During Advisory, all students (yes, that includes you high schoolers) will be assigned to a HR that they must go to for advisory. Attendance will be taken. If they wish to visit another class, they need to get a pass.
Wanted - Social Media Interns
We are looking for three high school students who are interested in becoming a social media intern for our school. This is an opportunity to earn high school credits by helping to celebrate the Thundering Herd and build our brand. There will be an application and interview process for selecting candidates. Please see Mr. Jarrett to express interest.
