IMPORTANT: Learning Location Information

If you are considering changing your child's learning location for the second semester (which starts Tuesday, Jan. 5) we are asking that you fill out the learning location change form by Sunday, Jan. 3. After that date, the next opportunity to change the learning location will be after the first progress report after February break. Here is the link to that form: Learning Location Form

Please be aware that if you change your child from Online to On Campus or vice versa, it requires a change in their schedule and often a change in teachers. If your child is an On Campus student and is sick and won't be at school for a little while, there is no need to change them to Virtual. They can just log on to their classes through Schoology from home and keep up with their assignments. If you have any specific questions about the process, please email your grade level AP or Counselor.

Spring Semester Schedule Changes

Despite the effects of COVID, WLMS has had a pretty great first semester of the 20-21 school year. Many of our students have transitioned back to campus for their classes with more planning to return at the beginning of next semester.

In an effort to maximize your students' educational opportunities and reduce class sizes for social distancing purposes West Lake will be opening new sections of many core classes. With that being said many students' schedules will change starting Tuesday January 5th. We are making an effort to minimize disruptions to students' schedules but please understand that changes must happen to balance classes for safety.

Please know that we at West Lake are so excited to have your students on our campus and want to provide them with the best educational setting possible. Everything we do is with your students' success in mind. Please talk with your child and remind them that new classes equal new opportunities to make connections and meet new challenges.

If you have questions, please contact your student's grade level counselor or AP.
