On Campus Recruiting (OCR) is back for the semester! Check out Tribe Careers to find deadlines, info sessions, and more for companies that are specifically conducting interviews on campus. Take note of when resume drops close, which are usually at 3 pm the day of the deadline.

Keiter RVA Leaders Externship Program

The Keiter RVA Leaders Externship is a two day program designed to give students a look into public accounting, life at Keiter, and the Richmond area. During this program, students will learn to navigate career fairs and the interviewing process, practice interviewing, build leadership and communication skills, and participate in group activities with fellow students and Keiter staff. The Externship will take place in both May and August in 2017.

There are two different dates this summer in May 23-24 and August 15-16.

Please apply by going to the Keiter careers website: (Click on Career Search on the Left hand of the screen/ Location Richmond/ Click Search in Yellow/ In Search Results it’s Externship Summer 2017) to show your interest in this program. Please attach your resume and unofficial transcripts to your application and note a preference of session if you have one. You will need to combine both your resume and unofficial transcripts into one document (either PDF or Word).

Deadline to apply is: Sunday, March 12th

BDO's Pathways to Success

Apply for BDO's summer leadership program by Monday, March 13 on Tribe Careers. On campus interviews will take place on March Monday, 20.

The Pathway to Success program is designed for college students who want to learn more about what it's really like to work in the field of public accounting. The programs offer sophomore and junior accounting students from across the country the opportunity to explore various topics such as leadership, networking and careers in public accounting. BDO is looking for current or expected accounting majors who graduate in one to two years with bachelors/masters as of July 2017, are personally and academically motivated and distinguished in the classroom, on campus and in the community.

To apply, students will need to submit:

  • Cover letter addressing:
    • Why you are interested in a career in public accounting
    • What you hope to achieve by attending Pathway to Success
  • Current résumé
  • Unofficial transcript (PDF/Word document with screen prints acceptable)

Chess Consulting Externship for Graduating Seniors

Apply by March 10 on Tribe Careers for this 3 day externship. Participants will be able to:

  • Be exposed to some of the work new staff is assigned, including complex accounting, disputes, government contract regulatory compliance, and investigations

  • Learn what work and life as a consultant is like, specifically at Chess

  • Meet a full range of Chess employees, from associates to managing directors

  • Enjoy social activities and team outings that make work and life more

Raffa’s Student Career Summit

Doing MORE with an accounting degree. Raffa’s Student Career Summit is a unique opportunity for students to spend the day exploring a career in public accounting with meaning. This kick-off event of the Raffa Leadership Series gives an inside look at Nonprofit Accounting and the Raffa Way.
