Accounting Clerk
Job 2: Accounting Clerk - Accounting clerks are responsible for reviewing and maintaining accounting records. They enter balances and calculate interest on loans, bank accounts and credit accounts using accounting spreadsheets and databases. They must also review invoices and reconcile account statements, investigate any discrepancies and generate financial reports.
Many accounting clerks earn associate's degrees in business or accounting, though some enter the field with only a high school diploma. Associate's degree programs focus on basic accounting procedures and skills in computerized accounting techniques.
Accounting Supervisor
Job 1: Accounting Supervisor - Accounting Supervisor is senior to Lead Accounting Specialist, but below Manager. The supervisor's job is to guide the group toward its goals, see that all members of the team are productive, and resolve problems as they arise.
· Required Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting; further education may be needed to meet certification requirements
· Other Requirements: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure may be required
