Is your child considered a close contact to someone that has COVID?
If your child is considered a close contact to someone that tested positive, your student must quarantine for 14 days from the last day of close contact with the positive person. It is suggested to have your child test after 7 days of close contact and then again on day 14 however a negative test for a close contact does not shorten the quarantine.
Has you child displayed any COVID related symptoms?
It is important to keep your students home for 10 days from the onset of any COVID related symptoms even if your student in feeling better and you do not believe it is COVID. They may return to school prior to the 10 days if they receive a negative COVID test.
