Peterson's News
12/18-1/5
The students and staff looked outstanding in their purple and yellow on Friday! Congratulations to Mrs. Ammons' class and Mrs. Manser's class for being our Spirit Day winners!
The Chorus concert on Tuesday was spectacular!!! The students did such a beautiful job. I am so grateful to Mrs. Luhn for all the work she puts in so that students sound amazing.
As I write this newsletter, I think of the many things there are to celebrate at this time of year! I celebrate the hard work of our students and the growth they have already made. I also celebrate the dedication and passion of our teachers. The support of our families is something that I value and celebrate on a daily basis. I know that many of us celebrate holidays at this time of year: Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa. It is my hope that the Winter Break allows you and your family time to celebrate and appreciate all the joy in your life!
Best,
Alli Landstrom
Important Info
- To help our car line be more efficient, please keep your car number in the window or on your dashboard, so that staff and students can easily identify your number.
- On Friday, December 22nd, we will have an all school read-in. Mrs. Schimmoler and Mrs. Saindon will decorate our LMC and we encourage everyone to wear their jammies/comfy clothes! Some classes will be allowed to bring other items. Please check with your student's classroom teacher about those specifics!
- Make sure your student is prepared to go outside for recess! We go outside when the temperature is above 5 degrees including wind chill.
- This is my last newsletter of 2023! My next newsletter will be sent on Sunday, January 7th.
Peterson Staff Shout Outs!
Thanks to everyone who filled these out - our staff really appreciated all the kind words, especially at this time of year! 😀 As educators, we strive everyday to make an impact and it is so gratifying to see when we do. Please take a moment to recognize a staff member that's making a difference! Please use the Google Form below to recognize any member(s) of the staff. You may submit as many as you would like. This includes everyone - teachers, secretaries, nurses, teaching assistants, custodians, specialists, lunch supervisors, substitutes, etc. The messages will be displayed for staff to read and enjoy.
Family Winter Bingo Board
We all know the importance of reading. Winter Break is an excellent time to encourage your child(ren) to read and have a little fun! You will be seeing your child(ren) come home with a Winter Break Reading Challenge sheet. There are many options available for your child(ren) to check out books from the LMC before break begins. The students will be rewarded with pledge points from the office for completing any aspect of the bingo sheet. Each student in the family will earn 2 pledge points if the bingo board is returned. One for being responsible and one for being respectful! Have fun reading over break!
