Thank You Bee Cave Bahama Buck's!
Thank you, Shawn McGrath and the team at Bee Cave Bahama Buck's, for awarding each of our most excellent students and staff members with a free 12oz shaved ice. What a GRRREAT way for our Tigers to start the holiday weekend!
All Tigers are being sent home today with a gift card from Bahama Buck's for a free 12oz shaved ice.
Thank you for attending!
It was a pleasure to meet with you Monday evening about our school's state accountability ratings. I appreciate your insights and recommendations, and I sincerely thank you for taking the time to meet with us.
I also would like to express my appreciation to Mr. Paul Norton, Superintendent of Schools; Ms. Stefani Vickery, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction; Dr. Lyndsae Benton, Executive Director of Curriculum & Instruction; and Mrs. Amanda Prehn, Director of Elementary Curriculum & Instruction, for joining our parent meeting.
As promised, for those unable to attend, I am sharing information that was exchanged during our meeting. Just click on the Accountability cover sheet pictured above.
Our goal is to see that all of our Tigers are successful learners. I thank you for your support in achieving our goal.
With warmest regards,
Amy Russ, Principal
The Counselor's Corner
Hello WCHE parents. It has been a busy first two weeks of school, but I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know all of the students during that time. As we move into September, we are excited to start incorporating our Second Step social emotional learning lessons into our classrooms. Additionally, I am looking forward to getting into individual classes to provide guidance lessons throughout the year. Both Second Step and guidance lessons will start after Labor Day in an effort to allow our teachers to establish their classroom procedures and routines.
I, also, want to let our WCHE community know that we are in need of some parent volunteers to help with our Tiger Trading Post on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:20-7:40. As you may know, our students have been collecting Tiger Tips as rewards for good behavior, and soon they will have enough saved up to exchange for prizes at the trading post. The students love this system, but it is obviously very difficult to operate without parent volunteers. If you are interested, please email me at borend@ltisdschools.org. Thank you!

Introducing the West Cypress Hills Staff Members for 2022-23
Seeking Input by September 23 via Lake Travis ISD ESSER Survey
Dear Lake Travis ISD Staff, Parents and Guardians,
As you may already know, Lake Travis ISD applied to receive Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The intent and purpose of the funding is to sustain the safe operation of schools and address student learning needs as a result of COVID-19.
As a part of ongoing ESSER provisions, the District is required to review and revise, as applicable, its plan every six months—including receiving stakeholder input to assist us with prioritizing ESSER funding and developing our Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan.
In an effort to obtain parent and community feedback, we have developed a survey linked below. Please take a moment to share your input and opinions. Responses are due by Friday, September 23, 2022 and will be reviewed and taken into consideration as the District updates its plan. Your participation and feedback are valued and appreciated.
