The staff and I are excited to welcome the PreK-2nd grade students back to school on Monday and look forward to seeing 3rd-8th grade students soon!

Classroom Spotlight

Prek Students worked hard making a Patriotic Flag, while learning about what a hero is and first responders.

Lunchroom News:

Starting Monday, September 21, you CAN NOT use the bus lane to pick up meals. Please watch the video for the new procedure.


Attached is the September menu, take a look and complete the 9/21-9/25 Meal Order Form for meals next week.

CLUBS, CLUBS, CLUBS!!

Book Club:

We are excited to offer virtual book clubs for our students in grades 4-8 this fall! We will read, talk about books, and do fun activities related to books.


The 4-5th grade book club will meet on Wednesday from 3-3:30


The 6-8th grade book club will meet on Tuesday from 3-3:30.


We will start the week of October 5th.


If your child is interested, please fill out the Virtual Book Club Interest form by September 30.


Junior high students will be able to fill out the form in ELA.

Art Club:

Calling all artists!!


We are so happy to announce the addition of a virtual art club with Harrison School! Our weekly, half-hour, after school event, will be offered for all ages on Thursdays 3:00- 3:30 this year.


At this point, we are trying to gain information from families about who would be interested and available to join us. Please complete the Art Club Interest Form.

Notes from the Nurse:

A reminder that even though your child feels well enough to participate in remote learning, if he/she is experiencing any of the COVID-19 symptoms below, please contact our nurse directly. Due to increased monitoring for COVID-19, we need to report to the McHenry County Health Department.


The COVID related symptoms include:

  • Fever (greater than 100.4)
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath/Difficulty breathing
  • Chills
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle/Body aches
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Congestion/runny nose
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
