EVAAS
- Spring Roster Verification will begin on April 10. To help alleviate the amount of information that will be forthcoming with the opening of the preview phase, SAS EVAAS and NCDPI are making you aware of important information.
- Please review the information at the link below and share with the appropriate stakeholders. This is especially important for kindergarten teachers, middle school CTE teachers, and any staff members involved with NCVPS students in your district.
https://ncdpi.sas.com/support/nc/s/main/NewInRosterVerification.html
- After Roster Verification ends, EVAAS uses the data in the submitted rosters to calculate teachers' value-added measures. In addition, state legislation increasingly relies on growth data for making policy decisions that have an impact on schools and teachers. Therefore, it is critical that the data in the rosters is accurate and teachers personally approve their rosters instead of letting them auto-submit.
- Teachers, school administrators, and district administrators should work together to ensure that the final verified rosters are accurate. The final verified rosters in Roster Verification are the authoritative source for teacher-student linkages and for the percentage of instructional responsibility each teacher has for each student in subjects tested with a state assessment.
- Pre-populated rosters that have not been verified by teachers and administrators might not accurately represent how instruction was delivered. Roster Verification is the only way to ensure accurate representation of instructional responsibility.
- To ensure data integrity, teachers should be proactive in reviewing rosters before they are submitted by the district and should communicate with others in the district to ensure that the final verified rosters are accurate. Once Roster Verification ends, roster data cannot be changed by the district, NCDPI, or SAS EVAAS.

Field Trips and Lunch
Message from Cafeteria Manager:
It’s that time of year again for fun, fun, fun. Just so that we are all on the same page, could you possibly tell me of any field trips or cook outs that you will be having the rest of the year so that I can be prepared here in the cafeteria?
So far I have:
Kindergarten out on May 5th, and a field trip with bag lunches on May 17th.
1st grade will be having a walking trip on May 31, June 1st, and June 2nd, but I don’t know if you need bag lunches for this day yet.
2nd grade is having a cook out on June 2nd
3rd grade is having a water day on June 7th, but I don’t know if you will need bag lunches for this day.
Please let me know of any new dates, if you need bag lunches for the dates mentioned, or if things have changed.
I really appreciate it.
