Several CHS students, one CMS student selected to San Antonio Youth Wind Ensemble
Eight members of the Canyon High School band, and one member of the Canyon Middle School band, were recently named to the prestigious San Antonio Youth Wind Ensemble for the 2015-2016 season.
“This was the most competitive set of auditions we’ve ever had,” said Albert Aguilar, San Antonio Youth Wind Ensemble Music Director. “These students should feel proud; as they are now ambassadors of culture and youth performance for the city of San Antonio and the surrounding area.”
The students named to the San Antonio Youth Wind Ensemble will practice and perform with some of the area’s top college, high school and middle school band students throughout the school year.
