Salmon Field Trip for grade 7
The salmon trip was interesting. We saw a bald eagle. We learned that there were 1000 salmon dropped in the river and there were 700 who stayed. The fish knew that it was meant to be their home. When we went there were 2 salmon and the lady explained that the salmon can smell their way home from far away..The field trip was pretty cold and we also went to the dam and saw a fossil of a leaf.

At the salmon field trip we saw 4 salmon just moving around and playing. We went to a dam and saw workers and pipes. Also on the way back to school we saw a deer. The salmons' color were like a redish and there was 2 big salmon and 2 smaller ones. Also there was a fossil leaf and it looked cool.

Dia De Los Muertos
Everything you need to know about the day of the dead
By Marco Martinez
Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday that remembers deceased dead family members. In this holiday, it is believed that they come back to visit their still living family members. The skulls, like the ones below , are there because when the deceased family members come back they are thought to look like skeletons. The food that’s made is left out because it was their favorite food when they were alive. The rest of the family that is alive makes that food for their dead family members to take back to the land of the dead. All of these things make the a Day of the Dead altar or ofrenda. Another big part of this holiday is the skeleton parade. This parade honors those who lost their lives and everyone, no matter if they were related or not and It’s held every November 2nd.

The life of a sixth grader, in school
By: Yuliana Rodriguez, Jessica Thurman.
Being a sixth grader is difficult. We have to go to school with 7th and 8th graders. Sometimes they can be a little rude, and make fun of us, but we stand strong, and ignore it. Right now, in my opinion, middle school can be very fun when people are kind and helpful. Being truthful, Mr.Toth and all the staff are making middle fun while at the same time still focus on kids' educational time.
