Please fill out one form for each alumnus.

We will be reaching out with details as the event gets closer.

Valentines

Valentine's Day party information will come directly from your classroom teacher and room moms. If you are sending in Valentines with your child, please be sure the treats are store-bought and individually wrapped. The students will be taking these home to eat and will not be eating them in class due to food allergies.

Kids Heart Challenge

Our Kids Heart Challenge program is kicking off on February 16th! We are proud to support the American Heart Association and Be the Torch in the fight against heart disease and stroke! Students will learn how to keep their hearts happy and healthy through physical and mental wellbeing, while helping others with special hearts by raising lifesaving donations. Our goal is to have 100% of our school families join the team and learn Hands Only CPR through Finn’s Mission. Don’t wait, get started TODAY! Students who join the team early will get recognized at our kick-off!

  1. REGISTER at http://www2.heart.org/goto/Panorama
  2. TAKE THE CHALLENGE to Move More or Be Kind and earn the FREE Be the Torch Wristband when we kick-off!
  3. COMPLETE FINN’S MISSION in your HQ to learn Hands-Only CPR, how to spot a stroke F.A.S.T., and how you can help kids with special hearts!

Thank you for supporting our school and this lifesaving program!

Elevo PE Program

This week’s games are Hoop Blaster and Bunch Builder, and the focus is curiosity.

Curiosity is an openness and desire to learn or know new things. Being curious helps you develop new ways of thinking which can help you be a better problem solver, be more empathetic, and be more interesting! Without curiosity, you won’t grow as a person, meet new people, or have new experiences. For more information about curiosity, please see the attached flyer.

Volunteering Incentives

Does your company offer donations to schools for volunteer hours? Disney offers grants to schools for each hour volunteered, including transportation. If you work for Disney or another company that provides this, we can help you with the process. Please reach out if you need support.

All students need to be sure they let their teacher know the day before they are buying lunch. We may not have enough lunches if they do not request one. Also, please remind your child that they should not be getting lunch if they are bringing one.

COVID-19 Procedures and Safety

Individuals who are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should contact their healthcare provider and stay home. If your child or a member of your household has tested positive or is awaiting COVID-19 test results, please follow public health guidance.

If your child tests positive for COVID-19 or experiences COVID-19 symptoms, please contact the school and/or email me at erosselli@orangeusd.org. We will gather information from you and provide you with your options.

If a student tests positive, they are required to isolate. The isolation guidance requires 10 days without testing from when symptoms began or a positive test (whichever comes first). The student can return to school on day 11; however, if a student tests negative on day 5 using an FDA-approved antigen test and all symptoms have improved that student is able to return to school on day 5. If a home test was used, students will need to bring the attestation form to the office upon their return. The student must be fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.

Please refer to the OUSD Safety and Health Driven Plan and the County of Orange Health Officer’s Orders directly for more information.

The Orange Unified School District will be offering COVID-19 testing Monday through Thursday at the district office from 2:30 - 5:00.

See the flyer below to register for testing. You MUST register prior to arriving to test. Scan the QR code in the flyer or click here: https://apps.livingfitnation.com/covid/registration?q=ZC128mzcc9lFeeoTzoXp3w%3D%3D
