"Stronger Together" - Week of February 22, 2021

Phase 3 Starts Monday, February 22!

We would like to welcome our families and students to the Phase 3 Instructional Model: Five Days a Week, Modified Day (8:50 AM - 12:50 PM)! Phase 3 begins on Monday, February 22nd!

Our staff has been working tirelessly to plan and prepare for this new phase of reopening school, and we can’t wait to see our students back on campus!

Cohorts A and B: Students who were in Cohorts A and B are now one cohort known as the "In-person Cohort." The In-person Cohort comes to school five days a week, Monday through Friday.

Cohort C: This is the cohort of students who stay home for distance learning. Teachers will work with Cohort C every day after lunch.

Our school day begins on the blacktop at 8:45 AM. Teachers will meet students on the blacktop and walk them to class in time for instruction to start at 8:50 AM.

See below to view the Phase 3 Bell Schedule and Phase 3 Reopening Protocols. Your child's teacher will be following up with more specific details regarding your child's class schedule.

Riding the bus: Students who ride the bus will be required to wear face coverings. Students will be seated two per seat and no eating is allowed while on the bus.

Nutrition Break: There will be a mid-morning "Nutrition Break" for students to have a snack, stretch, and get outside. 10:00 - 10:20 for Grades K - 2, and 10:20 -- 10:40 for Grades 3 - 5. Bring a healthy snack from home, or, if your student hasn't had breakfast yet, they can pick up "2nd Chance Breakfast" in the Cafeteria (NOTE: 2nd Chance Breakfast is a full meal, not a snack.)

Grab-n-Go Lunch at Dismissal: Grab-n-go lunch will be handed out at dismissal time, which is 12:50 PM for all grade levels, K through 5th. This lunch option is available for all students. Lunch can be picked up at either of two locations: the cafeteria or at the bus loop.

Please remember that there are no parents or visitors allowed on campus when we reopen campus.

Lunch break is 12:50 - 1:30 for all grade levels, K through 5th.

After lunch, teachers will work with students in Cohort C (the distance learning cohort) while students in the in-person cohort (Cohorts A & B) will work on asynchronous learning assignments from home.

Teachers will hold Office Hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 2:35 to 3:05. Mondays and Wednesday afternoons are reserved for teachers to collaborate and plan their lessons.

Thank you, and we are looking forward to have our students on campus five days a week starting February 22nd!
