Welcome Back!
What joy it is to have all of our students back in school - in person! Our halls are bustling, and the IB "fishbowl" is filled with masked students who are playing Monopoly, chess, Jenga, and Spot It. (And a few students studying.)
Mentoring
We have advertised our mentoring program at grades 9-12 and are excited to use Nathan Tran's computer program (his internal assessment for Computer Science HL) to match our mentees and mentors. We only asked students to complete the Google form if they are already involved in the program or if they would like to join in. Our mentoring is a reciprocal relationship- both mentees and mentors need to be committed to building the relationship and participating through texting, FaceTime, email and also monthly "in person" meetings. The mentoring form was presented through Humanities, English, and in ManageBac for students in grades 11 & 12.
IB Academic Honesty Policies
We have sent the IB World School Academic Honesty policies through email to all students and parents. At grades 9 & 10, we sent the IB World School Academic Honesty Policy only. At grades 11 & 12, we added the IB internal assessment policy. Please read them as a family and then complete this Google form if you have not already done so:

May 2022 IB Exam Fees- Class of 2022 & 2023
I am nearly finished checking our students' IB diploma plans, so we will soon begin registering for exams. A $100 deposit is due by October 1, and full payment is due by November 15.
IB exams cost $119 each with reduced fees for our economically disadvantaged students.
We will send payment directions and bills by September 15. There will be an online option as well as bringing cash or check to Ms. Woods in B1-154.

The IB World School has existed at Plano East since 1995. This year we proudly serve over 600 students at four grade levels.
