Learning to ask for help (and offer it to a friend)
By your School Counsellor, Ms. Brennan, RCC, CCC.
Everyone needs help at some point in their lives. But we don’t always know how to ask for that help, or who to ask. Asking for help or self-advocating, is a big skill for our little people to learn. And, as we adults all know, it is a skill that we continue developing right throughout our life. Let’s look at the reasons to ask for help, and where to go when you need hep, specifically for your mental health. Remember, it is ALWAYS BETTER to ask for help with your mental health, than to suffer in silence. ALWAYS.
