Preamble
Article 1
Sec 1- The powers will be split up into senate and house of representatives.
Sec 2- House of Representative members should be chosen every two years by the people and electors in the state. Representative has to be 25 and a citizen for 7 years.
Sec 3- You cannot be a senator unless you are 30 and a resident for 9 years. Senators have 1 vote. Senate will try all impeachments.
Sec 4- Congress can make a law and alter regulations.
Sec 5- Each house is the judge of elections and keeps rules and proceedings for their own house.
Sec 6- Compensation paid out of the treasury.
Sec 7- Every bill needs to pass the house of representatives and the senate.
Sec 8- Congress can collect taxes, borrow money, regulate commerce, coin money, establish post offices and roads, declare war and raise military.
Sec 9- Limits power of congress.
Sec 10- Founding fathers wrote the constitution the citizens need to demand elected officials should look at the constitution for guidance.
Article 2
Sec 2- Responsibilities of the President like the President is the commander in chief of the armed forces.
Sec 3- State of the Union addresses president is required to inform congress on a regular basis.
Sec 4- Impeachments.
Article 3
Sec 2- The federal courts can handle cases that involve federal laws, or cases that involve disputes between two states. Right to trial by jury.
Sec 3- Treason is the most horrific act there is. But a family member of someone who did treason cannot be punished.
