Avenger Announcements
For Avenger Students and Families - January 13, 2023
Message from Mr. Mercer
Happy New Year! I hope that you all had an enjoyable and relaxing break. We are excited to be back for the Spring Semester. We are hosting many events over the next few months leading up to our Class of 2023 Graduation on May 20. Please read this newsletter carefully as it contains lots of information for you.
First semester grades are now posted in Parent Portal. If your student would like to improve their grades before the end of the school year, we strongly recommend that they come to Marvel Academy which happens every day during the lunch period and also on one Saturday each month. We have found this to be a great way for students to focus and succeed here at AAI. See the section below for more information.
Course registration for the 2023-24 school year begins soon. Please read the section below and visit our website for all of the information that you will need to assist your student in the course registration process.
Have an Amazing Avenger (long) Weekend!
Karl Mercer
Principal

Message from PTSO
Parents,
Hope everyone had a nice “recharge” during the break! Time to get back to work being “Awesome Avenger parents.” We want to thank you for the Amazing outpouring of gift cards and desserts for our staff Christmas party. They were so thankful and blessed by the gesture!
Some upcoming events will include a Valentine Bundt cake sale during school the week of Valentines day. The January Treat Trolley for the teachers is scheduled for Jan 25. We hope to have a “healthy” theme with yogurt, fruits, nuts etc.
The upcoming Mock Interview week for junior and seniors, which we hope to provide some treats for the persons/ companies participating, is the week of Feb 6. There is also an electronic recycling drive. PTSO is working with a company that will provide collection and recycling services to our parents, teachers, students and staff for free, plus they will donate a portion of their proceeds to the PTSO, it’s a win- win.
More info on these will come in the PTSO newsletter. Watch for that to be sent to your email in the next few weeks.
