Fat has many important functions in the body, and a moderate amount is needed in the diet for good health. Fats insulate the body, stores energy, and protects vital organs.

Too much fats can be very dangerous to a person's diet and health. It can cause a lot of heart problems and result in heart disease.
Types of Fat?
Saturated fats - known as the “bad fats” because they increase your risk of disease and elevate cholesterol. Those include butter, cheese, ice cream, and candy bars.
Unsaturated fats - are known as the “good fats” because they are good for your heart and your cholesterol.
