Get Involved with the PTO
The success of the PTO depends on you! We rely on your help, passion, and engagement to support our school community. Interested in getting involved?
- Join us for our next meeting on Wednesday, November 8 at 7 pm at Hollymead.
- Complete our volunteer interest form or email hollymeadptovolunteer@gmail.com to see how you can share your time and talents.
Even if you can't volunteer your time, you can still take a few simple actions to support the PTO:
- Participate in our guilt-free fundraiser and make a donation via PayPal! We want to remove the hassle for families to buy or sell goods to support our fundraisers. Instead, you can make a donation, and 100% of your contribution will go directly to the PTO. Remember to note "donation" when completing the transaction.
- Update your grocery cards to benefit Hollymead Elementary (Kroger: Hollymead ID# 80574 and Harris Teeter: Hollymead ID# 5899). These must be updated every year.
- Download the Box Tops app and earn funds for Hollymead. Learn more and download the app here.
Mark Your Calendars: Fundraiser with Crumbl Cookies on December 7
Join us on Thursday, December 7, from 3 to 8 pm for a fundraiser with Crumbl Cookies in Hollymead Town Center. Crumbl will donate 15% of all sales—online, in person, and even for future pickup—to the Hollymead PTO! This is the perfect opportunity to arrange your holiday gifts while supporting the Hollymead community.
ACPS and HES News and Reminders
- Hollymead Elementary once again is working to support families who need help with the winter holiday gift program through Toy Lift. Vouchers for the 2023 holiday gift are now live now and will remain open until November. Please see the online application here. Have questions or need assistance? Contact Hollymead's School Counselor, Megan Kopley, at 434-973-8301 or mkopley@k12albemarle.org.
- Hollymead Elementary is excited to announce a partnership with Original Works art-based fundraising! Through the program, students will create artwork that can be reproduced onto a variety of keepsake products. The products range from magnets to mugs and start at just $6.00. Check the flyer sent home with your student for complete details. Proceeds from the program will be used to purchase clay and other art supplies for Hollymead artists. For more information on Original Works, please visit their website at www.originalworks.com.
- ACPS is seeking food service associate substitutes. Working as a food service associate substitute is a great way to be a part of the school day, make some extra money, and still be home when the school day ends. If you or someone you know is interested, please apply on Albemarle County Schools job posting website. Please contact ACPS with any questions about the positions at 434-295-0566.
- ACPS wants your feedback on the Technology & Digital Citizenship Field Guide for ACPS Families. Use this link to read the guide and to provide the ACPS Department of Technology with feedback as they work towards a third edition.
