CPM February Newsletter
Message from our Principal-Ms. Collins
Happy February!
I hope you all are doing well, and having a chance to enjoy some of the cold yet sunshiny winter days. Our 2nd Semester is upon us, beginning Thursday, February 4, 2021. Students that are enrolled in year long courses, should not have any changes to their schedules however, courses that are only a semester long (most electives) will change with a new instructor and new course for the second semester.

Important Information for 8th Grade Students and Families
Throughout the month of February, we will have several activities to help our 8th grade students learn about and plan for high school.
During the week of February 1st, counselors will be joining students in their Social Studies classes to complete a Career Cluster Finder survey in Naviance as a part of the High School and Beyond Plan graduation requirement. This survey will help students figure out what careers they might be interested in based on their interests and strengths. This also might help guide them in choices for high school!
February 18th and 19th, we will have a virtual electives fair in Health and Fitness where students will get to learn about different electives at Edmonds Woodway High School.
The week of February 22nd, Counselors will be joining Science classes and students will be creating their 4-year plan for high school based on their interests and goals and uploading them to Naviance as a part of the High School and Beyond Plan graduation requirement.
On March 1st and 2nd, Edmonds Woodway counselors will be joining English classes to help students register for high school classes and answer any questions students may have. Please look for more information regarding registration as we get closer!
On March 3rd, Edmonds Woodway High school will be having a family night for incoming students over zoom. Please look for more information regarding this event as we get closer!
If you have any questions regarding these activities for 8th graders, please contact our 8th grade counselor, Kaytee Johnson at JohnsonK711@edmonds.wednet.edu
