GHS Competition Cheerleaders Are STATE BOUND
If you see a GHS cheerleader tomorrow, tell her, “Congratulations!”
Today (Sunday) your GHS Cheerleaders competed at the OASSA Northwest Regional Competition at Anthony Wayne High School. The team scored, “Straight As” with the judges and qualified to attend the 28th Annual OASSA Cheer and Dance State Championships at St. John Area at The Ohio State University on March 1st! This is a huge program accomplishment and a lot to be proud of!
Wrestling Update
Genoa’s Matmen Fall in Regional Duals.
Down three upperclassmen starters and without two other weight classes filled the young Comets battled but fell short in their bid to defend their stranglehold on the regional title. The Comets did clip Hopewell Louden 54-24 in the opening round but dipped to Gibsonburg 45-33 in the regional quarterfinals. The Maroon and Gray finish their dual season with a winning record of 13-10. The Comets look to regroup and contend for the top spot in the NBC at Woodmore HS on Feb 22nd. Go Comets!
Wellness Week with Chris Herren
On March 5th Chris Herren will be here at GHS (This is a BIG DEAL & We Are EXTREMELY Fortunate)!!!
Chris Herren's visit to GHS falls during national "Wellness Week" with Herrin. Wellness Week runs from March 2nd - 7th. In celebration of Wellness Week we have several items which will serve as 'giveaways' including T-shirts & bracelets .
Also, throughout GHS you will begin to see posters, signage and of course....Purple G's!
As you view the various "BE YOU, LIVE WELL" signage throughout the building please take time to reflect on the choices you make every day. Do the choices you make reflect the person you want to be? Perfection is impossible, but the best version of you is!
An important part of your GHS experience is exploring "what you want to be", but the most important part of your GHS experience is you defining "who you want to be".
HERE TODAY - GONE TOMORROW
Before you know it, they’re out the door. Also happening before you know it: yearbooks will be sold out. Get one before they’re gone.
