Significant issues that arose in the Northeast
The 1990's banking problems
They were a strong economical region before the 1990's when the construction businesses began to grow. But, in the 1990's the construction business began to drop and so did the real estate business due to the drop of construction. The Northeast region relied too much on their income for the real estate, causing later on during the rapid decline in the real estate business to severely damage their economy.
9\11 Hijacking
The 9/11hijacking sent many people in fear. The hijacking was said to be by a few from Sadi Arabia who wanted to attack America at their most cherished grounds. They aimed for one twin towers and achieved their goal. The twin towers fell. Leaving America in grief from loses of loved one and a damaged peace of mind and economy in the Northeast region.
2012 Hurricane Sandy
This hurricane put most of the Northeast out of power. Some of them had to evacuate in some cities leaving the in Townes and on the streets. They lost loved one in small amounts but ultimately it surely has left a tiny, little dent in their economy as well.
