Welcome to Anna Yates Elementary! I, Ms. Carter, elementary principal, and our entire team are so excited to begin getting to know potential and future families and students and want to get started early this year!


We know there are more questions than ever around entering the upcoming school year and specifically about transitional kindergarten (TK) and kindergarten and we want to create opportunities throughout these upcoming months to build relationships, share information, answer questions, and overall, help support kinder readiness.

This is an online event.

This is the second of five orientation dates, all of which will be held via Zoom where we will share TK/Kindergarten expectations and curriculum, site programs, application details, and more!


We will record this presentation and place on our website under the "Kinder Readiness" tab for anyone unable to attend but we hope to see you there!

Meet Ms. Miles!

Meet Ms. Miles!

Our TK teacher, Ms. Miles joined both our first orientation and first workshop. Here are a few of her favorite things:

1. I love traveling around the world.

2. My favorite food is Italian food and gelato ice cream in Italy.
3. I love sunsets and oceans.

4. I enjoy cooking for others and watching them enjoy it.

5. I love to oil painting and drawing.
