Traffic: Drop off and Pick up UPDATE
Thank you for your support as we have begun another school year and welcomed an additional grade level of learners into our Titan family. As many of you are now aware, in response to learner feedback and safety concerns we moved learner parking to the front of our building. We are continuing to use the same traffic pattern AHS has used over the last years with parents and learners entering using the South entrance off of Alma and exiting using the North entrance off of Alma.
In response to learner and parent feedback and with the support of our district Safety and Security team we have determined opening an additional entrance to the carpool lane off of Columbia may alleviate traffic on Alma, particularly in the afternoon. The traffic flow in front of our building and to pick up a learner or to park is still the same. Please use the map as a reference point.
We also ask those of you who will choose to enter off of Columbia to use extreme caution when entering in the afternoon. We will have many learners in that area in the afternoon during Club/R&D time. Please view the map below.
As always, we greatly appreciate your support and participation in our community.
Clubs and R&D Time Launch on Tuesday!
2nd Year News:
This four week project will culminate in a presentation of their digital interactive, which responds to the driving question, “What does it take to thrive?” to PISD counselors on Friday, September 18th. As you sit down to dinner with your learner, consider asking them about their grittiness score and how they personally define success.
1st Year eNews:
First Years are learning the culture of the school, identifying their characteristics, and assimilating into the existing culture of the school. The learners are also exploring the STEAM PBL learning model and discussing ways to contribute to our school. At Open House on 9/29, we encourage our 1st parents to locate their child's tour zone and complete a brief tour. Your feedback will help our learners polish and prepare for their first presentation event on October 1st.
