A Message From Our Principals
Dear families,
It has been a wonderful start to the year! Students are engaged in the classroom and at our after school clubs. Below are a few photos we've captured. We appreciate all the volunteers especially our newest ones for WEB reading and the TAP room!
Our Multi-Tiered Systems of Support are in place:
- We've implemented our tier 1 social emotional curriculum utilizing the Second Step resource.
- We have taught expected behavior through PBIS.
- While our kindergarten classes have been observed as having the most expected behaviors during lunch and recess, the 5th grade class has been observed as having the most improved expected behavior!
- Our tier 1 academic curriculum is strong!
- Students have been identified as needing intervention and/or extensions.
- Students are receiving differentiated instruction based on their need.
We look forward to collaborating with all of you during parent teacher conferences in November. Sign up for the conferences will open on November 1st. Please be on the look out for more information from your classroom teachers.
-Dr. Gruper and Mrs. Reinhardt

PTA Sponsored School Directory *Last Chance*
Did you know that Glacier Ridge is not able to provide student information to parents for birthday invites, play dates, parent contacts, etc? Good news, the PTA is able to collect the information from ALL parents and provide a School Directory! We also have asked the Glacier Ridge staff to provide a list of their favorite things, from flowers, snacks, candy, etc. We even asked for their Amazon wishlists for their classrooms! The PTA will collect the information for parents, put it all together, and have it printed! Please note EVERYONE can enter their student's info, but you must be a PTA member to receive the directory. As a member you are not obligated to join meetings or volunteer. By just joining the PTA you are showing your support for the school, students, staff and PTA. You also will receive the school directory! No other obligations! So, please make sure to fill out the directory information and become a PTA member! You can choose what information is provided for your student! Enter your student's information here: www.tinyurl.com/GRSDirectory22. Become a PTA Member here: www.tinyurl.com;/GRSPTA2022. Directories will be sent home with PTA member's student in November.

Student Breakfast
Students are welcome to eat breakfast at school whenever the want/need arises. If your student does want to eat breakfast, we ask that they arrive between 8:30am and 8:45am allowing them ample time to eat. If you would like to view the menu options or learn more about what meals are being offered, please visit this link.
Student Arrival
Students are expected to be seated and ready to learn by the 9:00am bell. If your student will not be present in their seat at 9am we ask that you enter their absence into ParentVue and the office will adjust the absence when the student arrives. It is also imperative that if a student is dropped off a few minutes late, a parent/guardian must sign them in at the office.
Choir
Mrs. Keating will be hosting the choir for any interested 4th or 5th grade student. Choir will be held on Monday and Thursday mornings from 8:10-8:50 in the music room. If you would like to register your student, please complete this form.
Families Communicating Immediate Needs
As we launch the 2022-23 school year, we want to remind families that teachers, staff, and principals prioritize teaching, learning and engaging with students during the school day. They are not expected to monitor their email while school is in session. Please allow 24 to 48 hours for an email response. If your concern is urgent, please contact the school’s main office. Thank you!
