Your Weekly BGS PTO News & Happenings
THANK YOU!

From giant bears to kitchens, books to trucks, crafts to baby gear, our Annual $1-2-3 Toy & Bargain Bike Sale had it all. Countless members of the Bridgewater community donated their gently loved toys to stock our "shelves" for the sale. The top half of the collage above gives you just a sneak peek of all of the goodies we had for sale.
Special thanks to the more than 30 volunteers who contributed their time to sorting, pricing, and organizing the store, helping the sale run smoothly, and then breaking down afterward. We had parents, students, alumni, and even the BRHS Key Club to help out.
While we had a great turnout from the community and had brisk sales all day, we always have more items than we can sell. Rather than left those to a landfill, our fantastic Toy Sale chairs, Alison Beebe and Michele Fitzgerald, made sure none of those toys went to waste. They partnered with the following groups to see the remaining toys were passed on to fellow non-profits who could make use of them, including:
- Thrifts & Gifts in Somerville - This unique thrift store is run in conjunction with The Center School, a private, not for profit school for kids with emotional and learning challenges. The store operates as part of the school's work readiness transition program for 18-21 year olds and proceeds from the store benefit The Center School.
- Franklin House, part of Alternatives, Inc. - Alternatives, Inc. provides comprehensive services to individuals and families with special needs, enabling them to reach their highest level of independence and integration into the community.
- iCares of Mendham - a non-profit that supports underprivileged families, particularly during the holiday season. The bottom half of the above collage shows our volunteers helping to pack up all the remaining items for iCares.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the Toy Sale a success!
