CMS Presents Shrek the Musical!
Join Camillus Middle School students as they set forth on a mythical “once upon a time” trek in Shrek the Musical!
This fantastic fairytale story will be running for three performances: Thursday, November 7 at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, November 8 at 7:00 p.m.; and Saturday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m.Tickets are $8 General Admission at the door, and the doors will open one hour prior to each show.

Sectional Competitions Have Started!
Section III/State Competitions updates are as follows:
Cheerleading team won the Section III title for the 3rd year in a row for the fall season at the Section III Championships hosted at West Genesee High School last Saturday, October 26.
Girls Tennis doubles team of Angelina Llanos and Katie Viau are the NYS Regional Champions and will compete in the NYS Championships to be held at the Tri-City Tennis Club in Latham this weekend, November 2-4.
Girls Soccer team won their semi-final game and are headed to the Section III Championship game this Saturday, November 2 at noon. They will play Fayetteville-Manlius at Liverpool.
Girls Volleyball team won their quarter-final competition and will now face Baldwinsville next week in the Section III semi-final competition.
Football team fell to Liverpool in their Section III quarter-final playoff game.
Boys Soccer team fell to Baldwinsville in their Section III semi-final playoff game.
Boys Golf team placed second in the Section III Championship.
Girls Swim team has some individual qualifiers who will be competing in the Swim Section III Championship on November 8 at Nottingham at 10:30 a.m. and the NYS Qualifier is on November 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Nottingham.
Girls Dive team has some individual qualifiers who will be competing in the Dive Section III Championship on November 7 at Nottingham at 10:00 a.m. and the NYS Qualifier is on November 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Nottingham.
Cross Country teams will compete in Sectionals on November 9 at VVS; Boys at 10:00 a.m. and girls at 12:00 p.m.

Dismissal Information for Half-Day on November 5
Tuesday, November 5 is a half-day for students who will attend in the morning.
Dismissal hours for the buildings on those days will be as follows:

High School: 9:55 a.m.

CMS/WGMS: 10:10 a.m.

All Elementary Buildings: 11:30 a.m.

Announcements about school closings, delayed openings, or early dismissal will be posted on the News Headlines section of the District website home page. They are also broadcast on Twitter, Facebook, and the following stations which you can access by clicking here.
Blackboard communications software allows us to send emails, texts, phone app notifications, and make phone calls. (Phone calls will be used for emergency situations only.)
Parent/Guardians and staff will NOT need to sign-up to receive information from schools that you are registered for in Schooltool. (You will have the option to opt-out if you choose not to receive emails, texts, and/or phone calls.)

Time to Refresh your Mobile App Calendar
If the time for an event on the mobile phone app calendar is not correct, check the timezone setting in the phone settings to make sure it is set to the correct time zone.
If you are not seeing calendar changes reflected on your mobile app calendar, then it is time to refresh the Mobile App. You can refresh from an android phone by: opening the app, go to settings, manage app, storage, then clear data & cache. For iphones: open the app, go to settings, click on reset app defaults.
Mark Your Calendars: Board of Education to Host Community Forum
The West Genesee Central School District Board of Education (Board) invites parents, staff, community members, and students to a Community Forum. It will be held on November 20 at the West Genesee High School Library starting at 6:00 p.m. (prior to the Board meeting that will start at 7:00 p.m.) It will be an opportunity to meet the Board and ask questions about their role within the District in their continued effort to listen and engage community members on any range of topics of interest.
