some news from school council

Hello St. Pat’s families!

My name is Heather Zarski and I am happy to be the School Council Chair for my sixth and final term. I believe School Council is critical to foster connections between administration, teachers and the school community. Last year our School Council donated over $4000 back to the school, provided Christmas cookies for the children to decorate, provided monthly hot lunch, teamed up with Knights of Columbus to provide Shrove Tuesday pancakes and organized a successful Christmas donation drive for the Open Door.

We have a wonderful executive, and are looking forward to planning events and giving back for the upcoming school year. We thank Mandy Dux for being on the executive for the past three years, and welcome our new Director Laura Agrey. I’d also like to thank Bailey Hautzinger for her countless hours volunteered over the years to our hot lunch program. Our main fundraiser this year is selling delicious Davison Orchards apples, and the order deadline is October 12th.

Please consider attending our next meeting on October 20th at 7 PM in the school staff room to find out more about who we are and what we do.

2022-2023 School Council Executive

Chair: Heather Zarski

Vice Chair: Heather Parker

Treasurer: Erica Lucas

Secretary: Anne Driver

Director: Janelle Evenson

The office hours are: 8:00 - 3:30 during scheduled school days.

If calling during lunch time (12:00 - 12:30) please leave a message and Ms. Miller will return your call as soon as she can.

Remember to phone and book an appointment if you need to come into the school @ 780-672-2177.

Parent Volunteers

Parents wanting to volunteer at the school or for field trips need to have a Criminal Record Check, Child Intervention Check and sign a Volunteer Confidentiality Undertaking form.

Request forms for these can be picked up at the school office. If you are unsure if you have these documents already completed you can call the office and we can check. These checks can take a while to process so if you are wanting to volunteer please get these done ASAP.

End of day phone messages to students

If you have a message to pass onto your child for end of day arrangements please call the school office no later than 2:45 pm due to the end of day staggered dismissal times.

It is very difficult to find a child once they have left the classroom at the end of the school day.
