MakerSpace Needs
Visiting Authors
On November 20th kindergarten, first, and second graders will meet Bridget Heos, the author of many books including 2014 Building Block nominee, Mustache Baby!
Thank you PTA for funding these visits. Both events are sure to be great learning experiences for our students!
What will your student be working on in the coming weeks?
First and second graders will begin Curiosity Club. This learning format will allow kids to learn more about what they are interested in while learning to become great note-takers, learn to ask effective questions, learn to select the best source to answer their questions, and determine how they would like to share their learning with others.
Third, fourth, and fifth graders will begin Genius Hour and learn about their passion and share their learning with others. Our MakerSpace resources will be so helpful as we follow our passions.
Library Clubs
Page Turner's Book Club is in full swing each Wednesday morning from 8:00-8:30 am. If your 3-5th grade student and sibling(s) would like to join us, they may come to the library for a permission slip. 2nd grade students will be invited to join in January.
Storytelling Club is hard at work learning to become great storytellers and mastering the stories they selected. Thank you Mr. Haynes for leading us in this endeavor.
Our MakerKid's Club for 2nd graders has wrapped up the 6 week session. First grade MakerKid's begin in a few weeks.
