Fifth Grade Learning
Fifth grade students recommended “siriously” good books and their recommendations were displayed in the fiction section. Using the popular Apple siri as inspiration, students had to recommend a book that was not in a series and feature that recommendation on a phone template. Students were invited to join a Google classroom about great book recommendations and were given the opportunity to scan qr codes linked to book trailers and reviews about the books they recommended. These students also experienced “speed dating” with a book to find books they may want to read but had not had the opportunity to explore.
