Fire is Catching
When: May 2-4, 2013; Article published May 4, 2013
Where: Southern California, USA
Who: People in the area and firefighters
What: There is a wildfire in Southern California. It has been going on for two days now with the hot temperatures and strong wind supporting it. It is 50 miles south of Los Angeles and is covering about 43 square miles. There are 2,000 fire personnel, 247 engines, 11 helicopters, and more equipment used to battle the flames. The weather is getting a bit cooler and there will be more humidity to help the firefighters take out the remaining flames.
How: This affects us because fires ruin the nature and houses in the area. The firefighters risk their lives to save others everyday and we should be grateful.
