Start with “Hello” Week at Spring Hill Primary! September 20-24, 2021
Monday, Sept. 20—School Holiday…confidence in yourself starts at home! Practice smiling in the mirror so that tomorrow you can put your best smiling eyes forward!
Tuesday, Sept. 21—Decorate name tags so that we all can make new friends! Morning announcements will remind students how special they are to us and our school while encouraging everyone to call their friends by name! Calling someone by name communicates respect and a sense of belonging.
Wednesday, Sept. 22—We will practice saying hello to every person on the Playground at Recess! Morning announcements will discuss how to say hello in other ways as well, like a silent wave in the hallway. Everyone wants to be noticed for who they are. We encourage student to notice how their classmates are feeling and encourage them to have a great day by saying hello!
Thursday, Sept. 23—Students may wear anything and everything Green (within dress code-no green hair please). Green universally signals ”Go” so this day our green reminds us to go out and make our community of learners feel important by acknowledging each other by calling them by name, a wave, or a smile!
Friday, Sept. 24—It’s so simple to smile to say Hello! Each student will get a smiley sticker & practice smiling (and smiling eyes) everywhere we go—because even though we can’t always speak and say hello…we CAN ALWAYS Smile!
It’s as Easy as 1, 2, 3! 1-See someone alone 2-Reach out and help 3-Start with Hello!
Here are a few important reminders for ALL home football games this season:
- ALL students will be required to sit in the stands with their parents.
- Students will not be allowed to run around, throw footballs, or congregate.
- The only time a student can be out of the stands is for the restroom or purchasing something from the concession stand.
- There will be administrators on duty as well as helpers in the stands to monitor.
- I appreciate all of your help in keeping your child safe with you in the stands to watch the game.
