Pinkerton Elementary

Research, databases, citations and more!

Below you will find information about the IIM Research Method that we use at Pinkerton. This Smore is divided by grade level and will give easy accessible information for your grade level. There is information about what your grade level should teach about the IIM Method, how your grade level should cite sources, and the databases that are appropriate in your grade level. We will work to introduce each grade level to their databases and use that as a building block for the next grade level. By the time a learner reaches Fifth Grade, they should be comfortable with all the various databases. This doesn't restrict you from using databases not listed for your grade level but is meant to just be a guide to help us streamline when databases are taught.
