NEWS & UPDATES FROM COVENTRY OAK ELEMENTARY

Our mission is to challenge minds, create lifelong learners, and cultivate kindness through a collaborative community that prepares every child for a successful future.

FROM THE DESK OF MS. FORD

Welcome Back Coventry Oak Families,

The start of school is fast approaching. While it’s not a typical start of the school year, we are just as excited to welcome back our Super Scholars to the 2020-2021 school year through Distance Learning. For those who are new to our school community, we would like to extend a warm welcome.

Very soon smiling faces and enthusiastic learners will fill our screens with hopes of joining us in the classroom in the near future. Our teachers and staff are working diligently to plan and create lessons to engage our students in learning. We are committed to increasing our effectiveness with distance learning in all aspects; starting with virtual home visits to meet the teacher and build relationships with students and families even from a distance.

You will also have an opportunity to be greeted by staff at our Drive-thru Open House on August 17 (12-4 pm) or August 18 (3-7pm). Students will receive a t-shirt with our theme for this year, “Comets Can Do VIRTUALLY Anything!” We hope that every student will wear their shirt on the first day of distance learning, because we truly believe that our Super Scholars can do anything they set their minds to do!

We are looking forward to starting the year with a positive perspective. As a Coventry Oak family, we will continue to help one another and work to ensure the success of each student and family we serve. We appreciate your continued support and trust and look forward to another excellent academic year.

Sincerely,

Shamiah Ford

Sinceramente,

Shamiah Ford
