Thank you so much for all you do for our community! If you have any questions or issues signing up, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help you.
Thank you,

Pop Warner Football Brought Home the National Championship!
Over the Holiday weekend, Region 15's very own Pomperaug Pop Warner U8 Warriors football team traveled all the way to Indiana to face off in the National Championship. They played hard, worked as a team, and earned the National Championship in a 13-0 victory! This victory was especially sweet for us at Long Meadow, as many of the coaches come from LMES families (the head coach is our very own Mr. Creaco), and nearly half of the players are LMES students! We treated them to a clap-out parade through the building when they returned and we couldn't be prouder of our football champs!
PJ DAY for a Cause!
Long Meadow students will be participating in this event to raise money in support of the medical support and care that CCMC provides, which directly impacts our Long Meadow families. Participation, as well as donations, are voluntary and the suggested donation amount is $1. The PTO will collect all funds and write a check directly to the CCMC medical center. Giving Back Though Donation Baskets for the Holiday Season!
Students in all of our 5th-grade classrooms collected food items that were put together into Thanksgiving Day Baskets. These baskets, overflowing with delicious items, were delivered to families in need located in our local community through the Middlebury and Southbury Food Banks. This is a great example of one of the many ways we teach citizenship through the acts of kindness designed to "Pay It Forward!"

Reminders!
1. Winter Recess: Students will go out for recess in 20 degrees and above weather. Please ensure that your children are dressed for the weather (and the cold) by making sure that they bring winter coats, hats and mittens/gloves/scarves for recess. Boots and snow pants are required for playing in the snow.
2. Lobbyguard: All parents/visitors must bring in their driver's license to sign into Lobbyguard when in the building for volunteering, meetings, etc. Please read the following from our parent handbook:
LOBBYGUARD VISITOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Region 15 has installed the LobbyGuard Visitor Management System in all schools. This system will track visitors, volunteers and vendors who come in and out of our schools. LobbyGuard provides the district with the ability to utilize modern technology to enhance the existing safety plans and strengthen the entrance protocols.
The new procedure at all schools, after entering the building as you currently do, is as follows:
A. Once in the Main Office, all visitors will be required to sign-in to the building via LobbyGuard.
B. You will be required to scan your driver’s license as part of this process.
C. Following the sign-in process, a visitor badge is printed and is to be worn at all times while on school property.
D. Any visitors who are not wearing a visitor badge while in the building will be escorted to the Main Office. The badge is self- adhesive and will not damage clothing.
The system is housed in kiosks that are located in the Main Offices and are self-directed, similar to an airport kiosk. Prior to leaving the school, all visitors must return to the Main Office to sign out using the LobbyGuard system by swiping the barcode on the visitor badge.
