Henking Family Newsletter
August 11, 2021
From Principal Puetz and AP Szeles
The time to welcome your children to Henking for their first day of school is almost upon us and we are extremely happy and excited! We take pride in providing our students with an exceptional educational experience that takes into account the whole child and the uniqueness they bring to our school.
This newsletter contains information regarding opportunities for you and your child to meet their teachers. Here I am listing the answers to some questions that we have received that I hope you will find helpful. Additionally, you will be receiving several emails in the following days leading to the start of the school year from our District Office. As always, if you still have questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to contact me and/or our fabulous school office!
CLASS PLACEMENT
You will receive an email from our District Office with your child's teacher on
Friday, August 13.
BUS INFORMATION
You will receive an email from our District Office with your child's bus information on
Friday, August 13. If your child will not be going home on the bus on any given day, please send a note with them or call the front office by 2:30. Buses typically will drop off a little later than usual on the first few days as drivers acclimate themselves to their routes. If buses are going to be very late, the district will inform families. We thank you in advance for your patience.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
School supplies can be dropped off in the classroom during the Meet and Greets (August 17) and the Kindergarten Kickoff day (August 18). See below for details. School supplies ordered through the PTA will be delivered to the classroom. Please click here for a link to our school supplies list.
FIRST DAY EXCLUSIONS
Thank you to those who have completed the registration process. Please note that we will need physical and immunization records for all kindergarteners and new first and second-grade students before the first day of school. If you have an appointment set up with your pediatrician, please provide this information to us as soon as possible. Students missing physicals and immunization records without a pediatrician appointment will be held out of school.
D34 PARENT NEWS
Our District will be sending a parent newsletter in the next couple of days that will contain important information from the Food Service Department, SHIELD Covid Testing, and much more! Please make sure to read it!
