Afterschool Programming!

We have many exciting things happening after our official school day! For any parent or student interested in RAP (Rochester After-school Program), Homework Help, or any of our Community Education offerings, please consider staying for these amazing activities. The information of our latest opportunities is below!

To help families, there are some late bus routes to get kids home or to your neighborhood. We realize this will not be their exact route or drop-off point, but here is a link to where the buses to go during the late bus routes.

Hy-Vee Cash for Students!

We are collecting receipts in the Friedell Office. Simply bring in your receipts, or have your student drop them off to the office. We have a place to put them and Hy-Vee will give money back to our school simply by turning in your receipt!

Supporting Students

Parents,

We know there are times when students will not remember items for school. If your student contacts you to bring their lunch, iPad, or instrument, it is okay to do so from time to time. Please let them know if you are able to bring the item, and an approximate time of when to expect that item. We cannot call students down out of class for items at the exact moment they arrive. So please have your student check in with the office at a logical time, like during lunch or advisory, to see if the item has been delivered.

On a final note - students can survive a day at school without their iPad. If students fall into a habit of forgetting their iPad or something routinely, we ask you to not bring in the item every day. This will help build responsibility by students accepting the natural consequence of having forgotten the item. Also, if students forget their lunch, we will always provide a hot lunch to students. If students do not have money in their lunch account, we will still give them a lunch, they may not be able to purchase snacks or special items.
