6th Grade Leadership Field Trip
On October 25th, the six grade leadership class went on a field trip to "The Pantry" for a community service outing to help the people facing hunger. The six grade leadership team jogged to "The Pantry" which is near the Life church. We helped stack food on the shelves. We also helped organize different types of food. We were there for about 30 minutes to an hour. As an example of our work, we unboxed fruit, cans of beans, water, cereal, crackers, juice, soups and more. Some kids helped bring food up to "The Pantry" from the delivery truck. We mostly brought up fruit and vegetables from the delivery truck. We helped organize dry foods that were already at "The Pantry" as well. In conclusion we helped a bunch of people in need of food, or people with hunger. We believe we should always help others in need.

Gear-Up lunch
Some 7th and 8th grade students were invited to a Gear-Up lunch on 10-30-19. The Gear-up program helps middle school students think and plan for their college careers. The event took place in the school library. It included food, drinks and a raffle. The students who were invited had a chance to bring a friend to have lunch with them. They teamed up in groups of two for a round of Kahoot. The Kahoot game had questions about Gear-Up and education. The Gear-Up lunch was fun and students got to participate in a raffle for prizes. The staff were kind and the students enjoyed being there for lunch. The Gear-Up program is amazing and I had a great time being there.

Football
7th and 8th grade football has sadly came to an end. Both teams had a great season. 8th grade went 1-5, and 7th grade went 1-5 as well. All the kids had fun, and the coaches were awesome. Sadly all the kids have to wait a year to play again. The 8th graders are waiting for high school. Overall football had a great and fun year.

Soccer
Practices: The way 7th grade soccer practices went is it was very tiring and it was also a good time with teammates. In the beginning we put on our equipment and started to warm up/do our stretches. Then we ran a lap around the Ace Field Complex. Than we did shooting/passing drills. If we are lucky we get to scrimmage for the last 30-1 hour of the practice. We always have a good time during our drills. We mess around, but get in trouble if we mess around too much. Lastly on Fridays we play some fun games like lightning and muff, and other ones too.
Games: Before games we get ready and put on our equipment and get to stretching. After stretching we do our shooting/passing drills. After drills we take out the starters and then we start the game. Games are fun especially if you score.

Socials
The 6th grade social
The first social for the 6th graders was really fun! I feel like there was a lot of dancing. My friends and I had fun. I was to scared to go out to the dance floor as there were lots of Tik Tok dances. The food was pretty good, but they were a bit expensive. I understand why they are selling it. I can't wait for the next social!

Student Perpsectives
Being an 8th grader is actually pretty fun. Our last year in the same middle school that 2 years ago we were terrified to walk into. After awhile you realized middle school is actually a great place. You met your best friends, and have created many great and fun memories. Now, fast forward a year and we will be starting our first year in high school. The moment we all waited for when we were kids, after watching all the teen movies. It’s crazy that time has flown by and we are only 8 more months away from that ‘moment’.
