I would like to recognize our wonder dance team, who has done an amazing job this year learning the dance routines and practicing several times a week. Their recent performances were absolutely amazing! Mrs. Clark has done an outstanding job preparing the children so that they were able to shine! We also appreciate all the parents who helped with morning arrival, makeup, snacks, and bringing your children to the practices. It was truly a wonderful experience for all involved.


Help Wanted

We are currently looking to fill two positions at Benfield - Lunch and Recess Monitor and Support Assistants to work with children. If you are interested or know anyone who would be interested, please contact me at smmyers@aacps.org. Thanks!

Camp Engage! AACPS Summer Camp Information

Camp Engage! AACPS Summer Camp Information

AACPS has planned a wide range of summer programs for elementary school students. Programs will be focused on helping students engage in enrichment or unfinished learning, with a focus on mathematics, literacy, and preparing for the next grade level. All programs will support students to have fun while building healthy relationships with peers, practicing skills, and learning new concepts.

Camp Engage! AACPS Summer Camp Information

Parent Portal

PowerSchool Parent Portal is a great resource for parents. One of the best ways to keep track of how your child is progressing in school is access Power School Parent Portal.


It now has more functionality to email updates about your students’ attendance and grades. To update your notifications in your account, please follow the instructions below.


  1. Using a web browser, log into the Parent Portal. This process cannot be done through the mobile app.
  2. In the left margin under Navigation, click on Email Notification.
  3. Choose the reports that you would like to receive by email.
  4. Choose the frequency you would like to receive these reports (Daily, Weekly, Every 2 weeks, or Monthly).
  5. You can apply this for all students on your Parent Portal account or just one.
  6. Click Submit.
