Solar Impulse 2
By Zack
Introduction
The solar impulse 2 is 72 metres long as big as a jumbo jet and ways 2.3 tonnes around the same as 2 cars. The flight is only a test run and can hold one person and is good news for our enviroment. It could be the future of solar flying as it could hold cargo and save the future. This plane could be written into history as it would fly across the world in 25 days and would go on solar panels all the way.
There are 17 000 solar panels on the wings and as it flys through the night there are 4 batteries charging through the day. This is a very expensive plane and thats why they are not very common.
