Be You Bravely
April 2015
Looking for Leaders for 2015-2016....
Finance - You can do magical things with a calculator and a few spare minutes. Spreadsheets make you happy and your group reveres your way with numbers. You keep the group, and it's leaders, on track.
Fundraising - you have no issues asking people for money and like to plan events to raise money for our group. You work directly with the Finance coordinator.
Hospitality - Hugs and brunch may be your native language. You know that a cozy atmosphere and a yummy meal have the power to heal. Good food, cute decorations and fun icebreakers are just part of what you do. The moment a woman walks through the door of your MOPS group she feels that you have created a place especially for her. The tone you set welcomes women and keeps them coming back!
DGL - As a Discussion Group Leader, you know that having a safe space to spill your guts is valuable and hard to find. Trust and honesty are your anthem. You have made it your goal to go about leading your group discussions by asking great questions and cultivating transparent moments.
DGL Leader - you know it's your responsibility to train and encourage Discussion Group Leaders to ask those great questions and lead those transparent discussions. Create a safe place for them while they create that same kind of place for moms in your group.
Creative Leader - The local craft store is on your speed dial and you thank God every day for the invention of Modge Podge. Creating comes naturally to you and you thrive on finding new ways to help your MOPS group make beautiful things together.
MOPPETS - Kids are some of your favorite people and you believe that the best lessons involve play dough and finger paint. Letting kids know that God loves them makes your day.
Service - making the world a better place one project at time. Your gift to your group is making connections between need and plenty. Each of your efforts to ease the suffering of another, changes the world in profound ways.
Communication - your creative efforts and sparkly words help to spread the word about all of the fun to be had at MOPS. You also help spread the vision of MOPS throughout the community and MOPS group. There are moms who are secretly hoping for a group of women to share life with so get out your mega phone and make someone’s day.
Mentor Mom - you are a trusted guide with sage advice. You are a fellow traveler who is a little farther along the journey. Women in your group trust you to share your mentoring wisdom because of your willing ear and confidant heart. You are a spiritual and practical guide as well as a source of hope for the leaders and moms in your group.
Events - Planning parties is your game. You think of fun and unique ways for our moms to bond and play together in monthly Mom's Nights Out and play dates.
Casa Manana - you bring the love of theater to our group. Coordinate all the purchase of tickets.
Sunshine - You spread sunshine and joy where ever you go. You see hurting hearts and have a word to bring comfort. Work with DGLs on showing some MOPS love to our moms.

What is MOPS?
MOPS is a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers.
We also believe that incubating hearts and giving just-because-hugs can change the course of history. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. MOPS groups are rallying women to be more honest, to feel more equipped and to find our identity by journeying along side one another.
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, and by preschoolers we mean kiddos from birth through kindergarten. We know it's a little confusing so let's just stick with "MOPS."
We are moms, and we believe that better moms make a better world.
